Position of Composite Video Port in the WMT Expert
We are receiving complaints from Clients and experienced ourselves that the position of the Composite video Port in WMT Expert is causing problem
There is not much space in the bag and when connector from camera is attached it makes the port to be loosen and broken
Please share your experience on the same
Also suggest best option of the below
A. No changes required in positioning of the composite port
B. Composite port is to be replaced with USB port at front and USB port will be placed on composite port location
C. Composite Port should come with Flexible wire to avoid the breakage
D. It should be made optional

The same issue has been faced during some demos here in Thailand as well when the camera is connected through HDMI port. There is not enough room for the cable to be connected while operating the expert from the backpack.
It would be better if all the input ports (HDMI/SDI/Composite/Firewire) are kept at front while the LAN and USB be kept at the sides. The LAN and USB ports will be seldom used with the expert inside the backpack. We can also shift the position of the ON/OFF switch to the sides if we can easily put our finger inside the bag to push the switch to turn the unit ON or OFF. Another alternative would be to slightly increase the size of the backpack such that the unit can be cased at the middle and there is enough room to connect cables from both the sides.

Has anyone tried using right-angle adapters in the mean time, and is there enough room to make that work?
I also think that re-evaluating the layout of ports would be a good idea. We should see which ones are getting the most use. I would assume that HDMI, SDI, and Composite are the top 3?

We had once used a right angled adapter for HDMI video input during one of the demos. It was quite tight inside though; however a better option than just using HDMI cable.

The repositioning of the Video connector is best option as availability of connector with all client will again cannot be confirmed
The present clients are also facing problem and we fixed connectors by soldering them once they are broken

I agree. For the mean time, would it make since for offices to stock a few adapters?

The connectors are ordinary BNC Connectors and easily available
The problem is the wires connecting the connector with converter are too short and frequently replacing / repairing the connector will make it more difficult it to repair

COMPOSITE PORT
We are aware of the composite port issue and it has been addressed. The composite port has been moved to the front of the unit and all new units will be manufactured with the composite port on the front.

Hi All,
Last day I was in Aaj Taj News channel . I saw out of four unit two units composite port broken.
So from my point of view that port should be in front side of expert . we can change the USB port Position and Ethernet port position because we use there ports in less time.
